Beatrice Wanjiku is a Kenya-born artist whose work sits at the heart of the modern and contemporary African canon. Working primarily in charcoal & oil on canvas, Beatrice builds richly coloured surfaces that draw on memory, landscape and the everyday life of the continent.
Widely exhibited across Africa and beyond, Beatrice's practice balances a distinctive personal language with a deep engagement with place and community. The work forms an important part of the Redhill collection, where it is shown alongside both established masters and emerging voices.
